Doctors & Staff

Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make Conway Family Eye Care Center a leading provider of vision care in Conway.

Susan DeBlack, O.D.

Dr. DeBlack is a native Arkansan and received her undergraduate education at the University of Central Arkansas, where she was a member of the women’s tennis team. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston in 1992, graduating Magna Cum Laude and receiving the Vistakon Excellence in Contact Lens Care Award. She is an active member of the American Optometric Association and a past-president of the Arkansas Optometric Association and is a previous recipient of the OD of the Year Award and the Distinguished Service Award.  Her special interests include specialty contact lens fittings and children’s vision. She is married to Tom DeBlack, an author and history professor. They have a daughter, Susannah, who occupies most of their free time. Dr. DeBlack looks forward to seeing you and your family.

Sarah Davis, O.D.

Dr. Davis is originally from Bryant, Arkansas. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Central Arkansas and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. She has volunteered at the Special Olympics and traveled twice to Honduras for medical mission trips. She is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Arkansas Optometric Associations. She lives in Conway with her husband Josh Davis and her son Beau and daughter Caroline.  She enjoys spending time with her family. Dr. Davis looks forward to seeing you and your family.

Leigh Cox, O. D.

Dr. Cox grew up in Valliant, Oklahoma and completed her undergraduate studies at East Central University in Ada, OK.  She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. During optometry school, she received the President’s Award, Clinical Excellence Award, Alcon Scholars Award, and the Vistakon Award of Excellence.  She is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Arkansas Optometric Association. Dr. Cox has a special interest in pediatric vision and specialty contact lens fittings.   She lives in Conway with her husband Jeremy and has two sons, Cameron and Hudson.  She stays very busy cheering on her boys at their soccer games and many other activities.

 

Melissa Manning, ABO, NCLE–Office Manager

Melissa Manning has over thirty years of experience working in the optical industry. She has obtained national and state certification as an optician and contact lens technician. She has served on the board of the Arkansas Opticians Association and as a Vision Source Representative for Arkansas. Her experience is invaluable in helping you select the most appropriate eye wear for your prescription and lifestyle. Proper fit and adjustment of glasses is important not only to help you look and feel your best but is crucial to helping you achieve your best possible vision. Her trained eye can also assist you in finding the frame to best flatter your features and show off your sense of style. Melissa and her husband Mark are long-time Conway residents and are the proud parents of two daughters, Makayla and Maleah.
